Life at Our Supported Independent Living Home​

At True Angels Care & Support Services (TACSS), we believe a SIL home should feel like home – not a facility.

Everyone who lives in our home brings their own personality, interests, routines and life experiences, and we believe that's something worth celebrating.

​

One thing we place great importance on is ensuring participants are well matched when living together. We carefully consider personalities, lifestyles, interests, communication styles and compatibility because a peaceful and happy home starts with people feeling comfortable around each other.

​

We know that living with others isn't always about having the same hobbies. It's about mutual respect, understanding each other's boundaries and creating an environment where everyone feels safe, included and valued.

Daily life at TACSS is about much more than support. We want participants to enjoy their home, build friendships, develop skills and have opportunities to try new things.

Depending on each person's interests and goals, some of the activities we may enjoy together include:

• Cultural celebrations throughout the year

Most importantly, we understand that family and social connections are a huge part of a person's wellbeing. That's why we welcome participants' families and friends to visit and, if participants would like, join some of our activities and social gatherings.

Whether it's singing together during karaoke, sharing stories over a BBQ, enjoying a multicultural dinner or simply sitting together for a coffee and a chat, we believe these moments help create a genuine sense of belonging.

At TACSS, we don't just focus on providing support. We focus on creating a home where people can continue being themselves, build confidence, develop independence and enjoy life alongside people who genuinely care.
